According to the statutes of the Nobel Foundation a nomination is considered valid if submitted by a person falling within one of the categories listed below. If you are not included in one of these categories, do not proceed.
After submitting this form you will receive instructions per e-mail.

Please note that the nomination deadline is 31 January at 12 midnight CET.

Members of national assemblies and national governments (cabinet members/ministers) of sovereign states as well as current heads of state

Members of The International Court of Justice in The Hague and The Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague

Members of Institut de Droit International

Members of the International Board of the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom

University professors, professors emeriti and associate professors in history, social sciences, law, philosophy, theology and religion, university rectors and university directors (or their equivalents), directors of peace research institutions and foreign policy institutes

Persons who have been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize

Members of the main board of directors or its equivalent of organizations that have been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize

Current and former members of the Norwegian Nobel Committee (proposals by current members of the Committee to be submitted no later than at the first meeting of the Committee after 1 February)

Former advisers to the Norwegian Nobel Committee

Unless otherwise stated the term "members" shall be understood as current (sitting) members.

Can you officially confirm if a nomination for this year's prize is real or not?

As a matter of principle, and according to the Nobel statutes, the Norwegian Nobel Institute can never confirm, or disconfirm, whether someone has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize until 50 years have passed.
Do you share any information about who is nominated for the Peace Prize this year?

No. In fact, none of the Nobel Committees announce the names of nominees, neither to the media nor to the candidates themselves. In so far as certain names crop up in advance speculations of potential nominees or candidates it is either sheer guess-work or information released by the person behind a nomination.
