Throughout his long reign, King Harald showed a profound and sustained interest in the Nobel Peace Prize and in the work of its laureates. The King, and Her Majesty Queen Sonja, regularly attended the Nobel Peace Prize Award Ceremony and the official events held in honour of laureates, reflecting his respect for their work for peace, dialogue, human rights and human dignity.
King Harald’s commitment to dialogue and inclusion made him an important moral voice in Norwegian public life.
