Contested Frontiers Workshop
Kim Angell, Research Program Manager at the Norwegian Nobel Institute, will participate in the upcoming Contested Frontiers workshop in Bergen on May 13–14.
Organised by the University of Bergen, the workshop will bring together scholars and practitioners to explore legal and political dynamics at contested territorial margins, with a particular focus on Indigenous rights, constitutional adaptation, and settler colonialism.
On Day 2, Kim Angell will present his paper “States, Cities, and Border Control: Do Sub-State Collectives Have a Right to Protect Vulnerable People on the Move?” as part of a session examining the role of sub-national entities in addressing global mobility and justice.
