Robyn E. Hardy
Assistant Research Manager
The Norwegian Nobel Institute
Robyn E. Hardy is Assistant Research Manager at the Norwegian Nobel Institute. Born and raised in New Orleans, she received her bachelor’s degree in history from Louisiana State University in 2009. She studied Arabic at the American University in Cairo’s Arabic Language Institute from 2007-2008, and she has a master’s degree in modern international and transnational history from the University of Oslo. Her master’s thesis looked at the relation between the ILO (International Labour Organization) and transnational labour movements, specifically the sex workers rights movement.
Hardy has been working at the Norwegian Nobel Institute since 2018. From 2021-2022, she worked on a project aimed at digitizing all declassified nomination letters for the Nobel Peace Prize. This involved scanning, cataloging, writing metadata, and uploading thousands of letters to the Digitalarkivet. The digital archive allows researchers to access the nomination letters from anywhere in the world. Each year, a new set of nomination letters is declassified and made available on the digital archive.
She also serves as the logistics coordinator for the Nobel Peace Prize Forum.
