The 2023 Nobel Peace Prize laureate Narges Mohammadi will be represented by her children, Ali and Kiana Rahmani, and husband Taghi Rahmani at a press conference at the Norwegian Nobel Institute.
The press conference will be held in English, French and Farsi with simultaneous translations to English with a Q & A format. The press conference is open to accredited media only.
Doors open at 11:00 and close at 12:15. Registration and security check of all equipment at entrance. Please bring accreditation badge and passport / photo ID.
Accreditation deadline was 2 December.

A show made by and for children, with representatives of the Nobel Peace Prize laureate as guests of honour. Children from 5th, 6th or 7th grade are in the audience.

Nobel Peace Prize Award Ceremony

Location: Oslo City Hall, Fridtjof Nansens plass, Oslo
The 2023 Nobel Peace Prize award ceremony takes place in Oslo City Hall. The ceremony contains artistic performances and the speech of Chair of the Norwegian Nobel Committee. The 2023 Nobel Peace Prize laureate Narges Mohammadi will be represented by her children, seventeen-year-old Ali and Kiana Rahmani. They will receive the diploma and gold medal and finally give the Nobel Lectures on behalf of their imprisoned mother.

Torchlight procession

Location: Oslo Central Station to the Grand Hotel
The torchlight procession starts at Oslo Central Station and ends in front of the Grand Hotel, where the laureates greet the parade from the balcony of the Nobel Suite.
The parade is organised by the Norwegian Peace Council.

The Nobel Banquet

More than 200 guests are welcomed by the Nobel Committee to the Nobel Banquet at The Grand Hotel. Seated with the laureates are normally HM The King and HM The Queen, the President of the Storting, the Prime Minister and members of the Nobel Committee. Other guests usually include HRH The Crown Prince and HRH The Crown Princess, ministers, members of the Storting, and representatives of public institutions, non-profit organizations, and cultural and commercial life.

Meeting at the Norwegian Parliament

Members of the family of the 2023 Nobel Peace Prize winner, Narges Mohammadi, will visit the Storting on the morning of Monday 11 December.

Nobel Peace Prize Forum 2023

IRAN - Burning for democracy
This year’s Forum will focus on the fight for human rights and democracy in Iran, with an emphasis on the situation for women. The goal of the Forum is to give the audience the opportunity to learn more about the situation Iranians are facing in their daily lives, especially women, and how the rest of the world can contribute to solving the problems both within Iran and in the region.

Official opening of the Nobel Peace Prize Exhibition: “WOMAN - LIFE - FREEDOM”

Each year, the Nobel Peace Center creates a new photo exhibition about the Nobel Peace Prize laureate. Representatives from the laureate will be present at the opening, together with invited guests. The exhibition opens to the public Tuesday 12 December.
